Last destination for our Taiwan trip!! For your information, it is a kinda small village which might spend you about half a day. Yet, I decide to stay here at least a night to experience something I can't find in either Malaysia or Taipei. Yeah, I do...
After check-out from the MinSu, with no time wasted, we are heading to station to get the way to JiuFen in the morning. This time, we plan to try their delicious, authentic railway Bento as our breakfast! A.W.E.S.O.M.E..!!! According to those Taiwan show, we can buy Railway Bento (but we have no idea whether can have it on-board the train or not =.=''; we have kept it until step in JiuFen MinSu)
If no mistaken.. since it happened one year ago.... We take train from Taipei Main Station to RuiFang (瑞芳), then need to take the bus with destination Jin Gua Shi (金瓜石) at the bus stop opposite RuiFang train station. It will bring you to JiuFen. Anyway, we choose to take cab to JiuFen straight away =P
Everyone will definitely visit the old street for the first time, and so do we... It is a long narrow alley which paved by stones and the alley is continue ascending, feel like hiking a small hill!
I love to walk along the winding streets with food vendors and craft stores on the side. I love chilling out at those old tea houses from the 30s and enjoyed a stunning view of Pacific Ocean.
Ah Gan Yee Taro Balls (阿柑姨芋圆) which is one of the popular dessert shop in JiuFen and there is a perpetual queue at the store front. You can eat the yam ball soup while enjoying a great view of JiuFen here. Soaked in a sweet soup with red beans and mung beans, the taro balls give a nice chew to every bite. It is so delicious neh!!
After visiting JiuFen, it's time dinner time.. Let go... Keelung Night Market (基隆夜市) a.k.a. MiaoKou Night Market (庙口夜市).
